Vocational Nursing School - CA | Blake Austin College

Vocational Nursing

The Blake Austin College Vocational Nursing program offers a comprehensive learning experience which prepares the graduate with the knowledge and skills necessary to be an effective health care team member in a variety of practice settings. Nursing students learn to care for patients of all ages and train in diverse health care facilities. Our elite team of Vocational Nursing Instructors is comprised of highly educated and experienced nurses who are committed to the success of our students. The low student-to-teacher ratio allows for personal attention from the nursing faculty.

Our 8,000 square foot wing, dedicated to the nursing program, simulates the clinical environment with the latest medical furnishings and equipment. There is a large study area with computer access and media resources that allows students an opportunity to enhance their learning.  Through classroom and hands-on practice, Blake Austin College prepares the student for direct patient care and the opportunity to start an upwardly mobile career.

Our graduates from Blake Austin College are well prepared to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical/Vocational Nurses (NCLEX-PN). Once licensed, graduates are ready to become an active part of the healthcare team; working closely with the registered nurse or physician in providing patient care.  Many of our Vocational Nurses find careers in hospitals, the home-health arena, private-duty nursing, doctor’s offices, retirement facilities, school districts, and other professional settings.
